SPANISH MACKEREL TOURNAMENT RULES
Limited to: First thirty (30) registered boats
ELIGIBLE SPECIES: Spanish Mackerel
PAYOUTS: Payouts go to the top three (3) boats with the heaviest aggregate weight of up to three Spanish Mackerel. The tournament’s entry fee allows you to have as many anglers on your boat as you’d like (within safety limitations). Amount of cash awards is based on the number of boats entering the tournament. Cash prizes may be adjusted depending on participation. Advertised prizes based on a minimum of 20 paid entries.
ENTRY FEE: ls $150.
WINNERS: Winners will be determined by weight. In a case of a tie the earliest weighted fish will be declared the winner. Only 1 prize per Captain/Boat:
REGISTRATlON: We encourage online registration. Registration must be completed prior to the start of the captains meeting. All entrants are encouraged be present at the captains meeting.
WITHDRAWAL POLICY:
(A) It pre-registered and withdrawn prior to the start of on-site registration; you will be refunded everything less credit card fees.
(B) If you withdraw after the Captain’s meeting, no refund of any kind will be given.
(C) This ls a one day tournament; In the event of unfishable weather, the tournament will be held on Sunday, April 6th, 2025 and Captain's meeting on April 5th, 2025.
HOURS OF FISHING: Fishing starts at 6:00 am- 4:00 p.m. There is no check-out or check-in. Fish must be caught during tournament hours. No lines in the water until after 6:00 a.m. All fish must be caught on hook and line and from the registered boat. AlI fish must adhere to Florida state size regulations.
WEIGH IN: Scales will open at 2:00 pm at the Bay Point Marina. No weigh-ins allowed before 2:00 pm (CST). Weigh In from 2:00pm-4:00pm at the Bay Point Marina weigh in area. Fish must be brought to the scale by boat. YOU MUST BE IN LINE BY 4:00PM, All boats must be within 50 yards of the Bay Point Marina Channel weigh-in dock by 4;00 p.m.
WEIGH & GO- NO DOCK SPACE AVAILABLE. Each boat may weigh (3) fish.
All fish must be weighed in from the boat in which they were caught. All fish must remain aboard the boat on which were caught until a crewmember takes the fish to the scales. No overland transport to the weigh station will be allowed. All fish will be received, Inspected, measured, and weighed by the terms of the weighmaster.
FISH CONDITION: All Fish must be in fresh condition. The rules committee reserves the right to disqualify any fish entry because of mutilation, poor condition, freezing etc.
PRIZES: Prizes are awarded solely based on fish weight. In the event of identical weights, the first fish weighed in shall be declared the winner.
PROTESTS: Any protest must be presented to the weigh- master by the close of the scales. A $200 (cash only) protest fee must accompany the protest application. In the event the protest Is upheld, the fee will be refunded. If the protest proves to be invalid by the Rules Committee the protest fee, will be forfeited.
RULES COMMITTEE: The committee shall be the sole judge of any violation of the rules. Decisions are final. The tournament committee has the right to refuse entry from any applicant. If an entry is refused, then 100% of the applicant's entry fee will be returned.
CHANGES TO RULES: All rules are subject to change at the Captains Meeting. Entry into this tournament is voluntary and the tournament is not responsible for accidents, incidents or injury based on your decision to participate.
CONSENT: By signing the entry form, the captain and crew, etc. consent that the Spanish Mackerel Tournament may use without payment or restrictions any photographs In which he or she appears for any purpose whatsoever, including but not limited to resale, advertising, commercial, or promotional material.
RESPONSIBILITY: All captains and crew members are responsible for reading and following all rules and regulations set forth by the Spanish Mackerel Tournament.

Empowering women to embrace their inner Ms. Reel Lady! Team founder Suzy and Ms. REEL LADY PCB 2023 Hannah Felix aired live on Channel 7 to encourage ladies to apply for the 2024 title, to be crowned at the Bay Point Billfish Open on Thursday,June 27th 2024.
Ofelia started out the fishing season catching her first spanish mackerel, now becoming more comfortable with using the mackerel rigs.
Suzy shows us her largest red grouper catch on opening day of 2022 snapper season. The RLPCB team fished opening day with Team TIGER and all did amazing!

Suzy Nichols and Beth Friday represented in Pete's Pub Dolphin Derby, located in Abaco, Bahamas. They caught three 16-20 lb dolphins, brought back amazing memories and left behind their signature RLPCB shirt. See you next year!
