It’s almost here!

Anglers, mark your calendars for one of the most fun spring tournaments in Panama City Beach. The 2nd Annual Spanish Mackerel Open, hosted by the Reel Ladies Sportfishing Team, combines competitive sportfishing with a heartfelt mission—giving back to our local community.

Set for March 28, 2026, this exciting one-day event invites boats of all sizes to compete for cash prizes while supporting Anchorage Children’s Home, an organization dedicated to caring for children in need. With a total payout of $1,500 for the top three finishers—$1,000 for 1st place (based on 20 registered boats), $350 for 2nd place, and $150 for 3rd—the competition promises both excitement and rewarding prizes.

The weekend kicks off with the Captain’s Meeting on March 27 at 6:00 PM at Neon’s Bar 72. Lines go in at 6:00 AM on tournament day, followed by a Weigh & Go weigh-in from 2:00–4:00 PM at Point South-Bay Point Marina. An awards presentation and after-party will follow at 5:00 PM back at Neon’s Bar 72.

Boat entry is $150 per boat, and early registration is encouraged.
